Piljo Yae, is a Superintendent for Barr & Barr Inc., a construction management company established in 1927. The signature moment for Barr & Barr came in 1932, when Nelson Rockefeller Sr. hired Barr & Barr to build the Promenade, British and French Buildings — creating Rockefeller Center. Piljo has been in the construction industry, including CM, GC and Structural + Miscellaneous Steel contracting for over 30 years. She is responsible for overseeing projects (including ‘Design Build Projects’ and ‘Value Engineered Projects’); for reviewing drawings to site supervision; project scheduling; following up quality and safety of field performance and delivery criteria; change orders; enforcing project schedule, deadlines and bench mark items. Angelina Perryman, serves as Vice President of Administration for Perryman Building and Construction Services, Inc, a third generation construction management firm established in 1961. Ms. Perryman oversees the administrative department including contracts, risk avoidance, human resources, technology, and third generation strategic and corporate planning. Ms. Perryman received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and Executive Leadership Education from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth University in Hanover, NH. Karen Fisco, works in the Construction Services division of Michael Baker, Jr. Inc., a unit of Michael Baker International. After spending ten years of her career working for Heavy/Highway contractors, she currently continues to work on PennDOT projects with Baker in a construction management role. Karen’s responsibilities include facilitating project meetings, handling project documentation and public relations. Allison Calder, is a designer at Oliver Fire Protection & Security in King of Prussia, PA. Oliver has been in business for almost 60 years and is the leading fire protection and security provider in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Her interest in fire protection stems from her many years as a volunteer fire fighter. Before working in the industry, Allison attended Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA where she received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture. She later went on to pursue her Associates Degree in Fire Protection Engineering from Delaware Technical Community College.
In addition, Allison is a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers’ Delaware Valley Chapter. She currently resides in South Philadelphia and enjoys exploring the city by foot. Immediate Past President Ashley Poglese, is a Survey Technician for LANGAN, specializing in field survey services. Ashley is experienced in ALTA, topographic, GPS and utility survey. She also performs construction stakeout and assists with aerial survey, 3D scanning and environmental remediation measures. Email Ashley Poglese
Mary Gaffney, is President and owner of a family-owned business, GEM Mechanical Services. GEM Mechanical is a commercial HVAC construction company located outside Philadelphia (www.gem-msi.com). Mary oversees all financial, sales, legal, and operational activities. She handles human resources, contract administration, bonding, purchasing, and company benefits, along with maintaining office procedures, safety procedures, computer systems, and field staff support. Mary’s background and experience includes project management ($25K to $50 Million in size), construction management, Auto‐CAD, and computer services. She has over 35 years of project management experience. Mary has a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor’s of Science, Management Information Systems from Widener University. She is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), a Board-of-Director on the National Association of Women in Construction Eastern PA chapter (NAWIC) and nationally certified as a Women‐Owned Business Enterprise (WBENC). Mary is OSHA 30 Certified.
Mary resides in Edgmont, PA with her husband of 36 years. Besides being in business together, they share one of there proudest achievements in raising four successful, college-degreed children.
Birgit Williams, founded Foxtrot Construction, after serving in the military and working in the construction industry since 2004 as Vice President of E B Williams Construction. Her background of military leadership, values and construction experience has led to the successful completion of projects for General Services Administration, PA Air National Guard, US Army Corps of Engineers, and National Park Service with projects at Independence Hall, Liberty Bell Center, First US Post Office.
She continues in her quest to change of the face of the construction industry by encouraging women to join the ranks and bring their unique talents and skills to a male dominated field.
